Hawarden-Waikari Community Vehicle Trust

Community vehicle trustThe Hawarden-Waikari Community Vehicle Trust aims to provide accessible, affordable and reliable transportation to members of our community who are unable to access public transport options. The trust has one car that seats three people (plus the driver), and can accommodate one wheelchair.

The primary role of the service is to provide access to medical or hospital services outside of our region. However, if members of our community require transportation to a range of other events, cultural or social, this option can be delivered if there is a driver willing to assist.

Volunteer drivers are a critical part of providing this service, enabling connectivity for our residents to a wider variety of community facilities and organisations.
